Consultant Compensation

DePuy Orthopaedics compensates surgeons based on the nature and extent of the work they do with us. Most surgeons work with us in educational and expert capacities and are entitled to receive compensation for their time and expertise. Others are directly involved in the product development process and may be entitled to receive royalty payments for the innovations they bring to the design of implants and associated surgical instruments. These arrangements are typical for experts, educators, inventors and designers in many industries.

With the growing number of people seeking hip and knee replacement, DePuy Orthopaedics will continue to rely on the expertise and insights of orthopaedic surgeons.

About the Disclosures

All compensation is posted in the year that the service was provided or in the year the royalties were earned. It is DePuy Orthopaedics' policy to provide compensation information for the current year and one year prior. Royalties may include interest payments resulting from delayed payments. Information from previous time periods is no longer posted on this site.
