AFFIXUS® Hip Fracture Nail System

The AFFIXUS® Hip Fracture Nail System treats a wide range of proximal femoral fracture indications using a single set of user-friendly instruments, and combines the principles of a compression hip screw with the biomechanical advantages of an intramedullary nail.


 

Anatomic Bends

The anatomic bends of a hip fracture nail decreases the risk of anterior cortex penetration.

• This nail includes the following features:
• • 3° distal bend
• • a chamfer on the distal tip of the nail
• • 1.8 m radius of curvature

GOAL POST™ Technology

• GOAL POST™ Technology is designed to:
• • facilitate visualization of the femoral neck in order to accurately place the lag screw
• • metal posts on the insertion jig allow for an unobstructed view of the femoral neck
• • assists with fine tuning of the guide pin

Pre-Assembled Set Screw

The AFFIXUS® Hip Fracture Nail comes with a pre-assembled set screw.

• This set screw:
• • eliminates fiddle factor and saves time in the operating room
• • engages with the lag screw to create a non-rotational or non-compression device
• • engages the lag screw before or after inserting an optional anti-rotational screw
