Dr. George K. Bal earned his medical degree from the F. Edward Herbert School of Medicine, The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. After finishing medical school, Dr. Bal completed an internship at the Madigan Army Medical Center where he also performed his residency in Orthopaedic surgery. Dr. Bal also completed a shoulder and elbow fellowship at Duke University. Dr. Bal is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and is currently the Chief of Sports Medicine and Shoulder Reconstructive Surgery in the Department of Orthopaedics at West Virginia University.
